The Inversion Tarot deck is a captivating reinterpretation of the mid-century artwork originally created by Paul Mathison for the Rolla Nordic Tarot in 1960. Rooted in the ancient Marseille tarot tradition, this pocket-sized deck features 78 black and white cards that have been inverted and refined to highlight intricate details and decorative elements, making it a visually striking and contemporary set.
Housed in a handy tin, the deck is both portable and durable, perfect for tarot readings on the go. The accompanying 64-page booklet provides detailed instructions for two unique tarot spreads, offering both beginners and experienced readers valuable insights into tarot practices. The artwork, updated by artist and graphic designer Jody Boginski Barbessi, pays homage to the original deck while introducing fresh and thoughtful design elements. Jody, a Pratt Institute alumna, also created the Influence of the Angels Tarot.
